Prior to Gryphon, she spent 12 years at Hewlett-Packard and 6 years at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium. Born and raised in the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area, Kathi has been a resident of the Santa Cruz Mountains since 1991 when she and her husband and tech partner, Jose Bautista, moved to Boulder Creek. When she's not on the trails or in the garden she continues to study digital media and to work on personal art projects.

Providing an appealing option to boarding, more people are turning to professional pet sitters. She has owned animals throughout her life and decided in June of 2005 to follow her passion to care for them. Her work experience offers 16 years of collaboration in the fields of administration, IT and web design in the high tech industries consisting of Cisco Systems, Airgo Networks and other Silicon Valley companies. She was born and raised in Colorado, moved to California in 1989, married and has lived in Ben Lomond since 1997.
